Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the service was exceptional and the location was perfect for accessing the village, the dining and some facilities left much to be desired. The room was large and clean, which was a nice surprise after a long day out. However, the food wasn't worth the price I paid, especially breakfast which fell short of expectations.
The hotel has a great location and lovely staff, but it feels like it's in need of some serious maintenance. While the food was nice and the room was fine, certain areas, like the spa and corridors, had issues that detracted from the overall experience. It seems they rely heavily on their prime location without investing enough in the upkeep of the property.
I had a wonderful two-night stay during the New Year, the hotel was beautifully redecorated with a cozy atmosphere, and the food was outstanding, especially the breakfast and afternoon tea. However, I found the spa facilities rather disappointing due to maintenance issues, which impacted our overall experience. The value for money was good considering the festive season.
I had a lovely experience at the hotel with clean accommodations and a wonderful location right in the heart of the village. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which made me feel truly welcomed. However, the room was uncomfortably warm, causing some trouble with sleep, and while the food was good, the service left a bit to be desired. Overall, it was a nice getaway, but there were a couple of hiccups that kept it from being perfect.
I had a lovely time at this hotel, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The central location in Grasmere made exploring the local fells and restaurants a breeze. While the room was clean and had nice touches, the bed wasn't quite up to par for my comfort. The service was generally good, but a little more warmth would have made a difference. Overall, the ambiance and facilities, particularly the spa, were highlights, although the dining experience fell short with smaller portion sizes.
